Privacy Policy

Your journal is private.

Your journal entries and any photos or videos you attach are stored as private app data on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your journal is also stored in your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service. The app never sends your journal anywhere else unless you share or export it, and we never receive it.

Device backups, such as iCloud Backup, may include app data, depending on your device settings.

Your journal and optional iCloud sync

With sync on, your journal, including photos and videos, syncs between your devices through your iCloud account. Your profile and settings stay on each device. Large photos and videos may sync at reduced quality; original files remain on the device where you added them.

Sync is controlled separately on each device. Turning it off does not delete your local journal or your iCloud copy. To delete the iCloud copy, turn sync off on each device, then delete the app's data from iCloud storage in the Settings app.

Limited diagnostics sent off device

Three Good Things sends limited app-health and usage diagnostics through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix bugs and improve the app.

These diagnostics may include non-content app signals such as app and system version, device model, crash details, app events and their dates, streak counts, reminder and color settings, and Premium purchases. They never include anything you write or attach, your profile name or photo, or your searches. They aren't linked to your identity, and Firebase keeps them for a limited time.

What we do not do

• We do not require a Three Good Things account. Optional sync uses your Apple iCloud account.
• We do not include third-party advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run the app and website:

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit for optional private journal sync and Apple for subscription purchases
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for app analytics and crash reports
• Cloudflare for website hosting, visit statistics, and the contact form
• Resend for delivering contact form emails

We only use providers that protect your data at least as well as this policy does. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive only what you choose to send. Messages sent from the app also include app diagnostics like version and sync status, never your journal.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date above and publish the revised policy on this page.
